Beer and Buses
To avoid drinking and driving, local buses can be a great way of getting to and from the pub. You can even visit Beer Festivals or even base a pub crawl around a bus trip.
The Northants CAMRA Branch runs several bus trips each year to different pubs, breweries and beer festivals. One such destination could be the home of Rushden Historical Transport Society. RHTS is a local group which runs a transport museum with Real Ale bar, as well as owning a couple of vintage buses.
Bus operator Stagecoach offers an "Explorer" ticket offering unlimited travel on the day of purchase. CAMRA member Mick Furn has written a guide to "pub crawls by bus" which makes good use of tickets, and includes pub details and bus times.
